Where do they get this stuff?

My husband isn't much into arguing politics. (This is probably why we've managed to stay married: he just smiles and nods when I get going.) However, a fellow he knows forced him into a discussion. Bad move.

First, he asked Mike if he'd heard anything about the international reaction to Obama being elected. Mike said he hadn't (as he's too busy to follow the news closely). He was expecting this guy to talk about the reaction of foreign heads of state. Instead, he starts talking about how German skinheads think this is the worst thing ever.

(Ummm...do we really care what skinheads of any nationality think???)

Then he said something that totally shocked Mike: "I don't think Obama is going to be able to command the same respect that W. does."

That did it: "It would be hard not to since W. has the all-time low in the history of measuring presidential popularity."
