More bad news...
I got a call from my advisor this afternoon. I think I've mentioned before that I'm a cousin of one of the faculty in the department. He passed away yesterday. My advisor said that he didn't want me to hear about it through some listserv or something, which I really appreciate. I did start to cry. I just feel so bad because there was nothing anyone could do.
