rowdeeoh is going to be one styling dog!

My handknit wool shrug ended up in the dryer by accident. I knew better, but I did it anyway. Perhaps I was tired after the third load of laundry.

I have recovered from my knitting snafu. All stitches are back on the needles, and I am knitting in pattern again.

I guess I am not too lazy to rip back several rows of my sock. The abrupt color change just bugged me the more I looked at it. So I ripped out the purple/blue,and I'm rejoining the yarn where it turns red again.

There is a knot in my skein of Mini-Mochi! They went straight from red to blue with none of the colors in between!

The other day I saw a poster at my local yarn shop advertising Opal brand Harry Potter und der Halfblutprinz Pullover und Sockenwolle. That is, a line of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince-themed sock wool from Opal yarns. There are several colorways for Harry, Ron, even frigging Tonks, but no Hermione colorway! Boo, hiss!

I'm quite envious of the way experienced knitters like bookish_girl_ can knit without looking down at their needles. So I tried it today while making a gauge swatch. It was surprisingly not that hard - at least with the big yarn and needles I happened to be using. If I can get the hang of it, I'll be able to read and knit at the same time!

First sock finished! I even wove in all the ends and tidied up a little hole along the gusset. It even fits ^_^
