layers on layers and layers
I painted a heart in a shade of red that looked almost bloody. I didn’t like it, so I mixed more red, and painted another, same. Wash, rinse, repeat. I kept on panting them, almost abstractly, all in different shades of red, until the entire canvas was covered with red and none of them looked like hearts, rather layers and layers of shapes, all somehow looking bloody still. In the end I liked it. A lot.
