Blue Bottle
Well, beyond the piddling wages I earn, one of the nice things about my life is working in downtown San Francisco and, as of two weeks ago, having the new Blue Bottle Coffee Shop two blocks from my office.
If you're not from the bay, Blue Bottle is considered the top shelf coffee shop of the bay area. Probably one of the best coffee shops in the United States. Above are photos I took with my camera phone of their new system. The system is called a siphon bar. Don't know what that means, but it produces the smoothest coffee I have ever tasted in my life. In fact, after my second trip, I thought very much that it was coffee that did not require almost any cream to smooth out the rough edges. And this is coming from a person who never, ever drinks her coffee black. Usually I'd just rather go without.
Also, the set up is just so damn pretty.
