This life or the next, Lily wasn’t his.
But there she was, still so pretty and sweet. How had she managed to remain sweet while married to that prat Potter was beyond his range of understanding.
“I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” he answered honestly.
He hadn’t thought about another woman, ever. Lily and only Lily filled his mind. He knew that was the only reason Dumbledore trusted him.
He knew it wasn’t real, but he kissed her anyways. Death might be just fine after all.
