Today I was discharged from the hospital. It feels good to be home. I'm still in a lot of pain, but I'm trying to hang in there. This morning I tried pudding, but it was too thick of a "liquid," so it made me sick. My stomach couldnt take it. So far I can tolerate water, a little ice cream, popscicles, watermelon, and chicken broth. I tried soup today with a lil noodles and I even chewed them up real good so it wouldn't hurt my stomach, but that was a really bad idea. My stomach could not take the noodles. I sat in a ball for like 15 min until my stomach didnt hurt as much and until I quit being dizzy. It's hard for me to walk. I can do it, but not for a long time. It hurts too much and if I continue in a lot of pain I get really dizzy and I don't wanna black out. That would not be good. I have to be on a liquid diet for atleast 2 weeks. So, I can eat all that I listed above (except noodles and I can do pudding in like a week) And then in a few days or so I can start eating smoothies and malts. Right now they make me sick, so I think water, broth and jello are my new best friends for a while. hehe. After my surgery we were talking about it and I guess I didn't realize how serious of a surgery this was. Which I guess is a good thing, 'cause I wasn't scared before they did it, but afterward I found out that it is kinda scary. eek... I'm glad everything went well. It took them about a half hour longer than normal, which is weird. It was a 2 and a half hour procedure. Well, I feel like complete shit right now, so I'm gonna take my pain meds and crash.
Oh, today my dad said that I have my brother Chris' smile... That made me feel really good. :) It's like a reminder of him in me. And my memorial tattoo is a reminder of him on me. hehe. For some reason I'm almost at peace today. Maybe it's because I've had a million morphine shots and pain pills in the last 2 days and a dozen other random injections. (My veins hurt...) That could be it, but either way; it feels good. :)
****Oh also, my surgeon took pictures during the surgery and gave them to me. So, I was tellin the nurses that I knew (my moms friends) to come see my senior pictures. So theyd come in and be like "Oh I bet they're so cute blah blah" and then I'd hand em my surgery pictures. It was soo funny. Good times, good times. Oh and don't worry, I'll spare you guys those pictures. Ish
