Sorry my poor wee young Blythe, but Martha's episode kinda pwned yours to bits, didn't it? Still, you got to make out with Tosh and kiss Ianto, that's not exactly a bad consolation prize.
First off:
UNIT!!!
Sorry, but Martha Jones at UNIT fills my heart with squee, and the fact that the Doctor recommended her for the job = WIN. WIN WIN WIN.
Other things that I loved:
Jack and Martha being cute together (See Gwen? This is what we call "chemistry")
The thought of Ianto in a red beret (A red beret and nothing else)
"Let's just say we were under the same Doctor." (You wish, Martha)
Bradford Meade as the bad guy (When fandoms collide!)
"I had a bad experience with a politician recently" (Master reference FTMFW!)
Martha grilling Ianto on his relationship with Jack ("We... dabble")
Is that a new tattoo on Martha's hip? (PHWOAR)
But:
Tosh, Tosh, Tosh: I know they've basically been all over the place with Owen's character this season, but TRUST ME GIRL, you can do better. Look at Martha: She was in love with a self-centered egotistical oblivious Doctor, and she got over it -- you can too. Why don't you go ask her for her secret? In fact, why don't you ask her for lessons. With extra "hands-on practice", if you know what I mean. Lots of hands-on practice.
And then, and then...
Just when I thought the episode couldn't get any better -- THEY KILL OWEN.
