I'm kind of surprised that none of the big Doctor Who speculation/clue-hunting posts I've seen have mentioned this:

I can't imagine it's anything other than a deliberate choice to use a different take -- like with the messed up dates on Rory's hospital badge in the first episode, I can't believe something like that could just be a production/editing foul-up. Plus, how many times has the Doctor said "time can be rewritten" this series? I think we're looking at it happening.

Eleventh Hour is very definitely set in 2008. So how was Rory's ID badge issued in 1990?

(And if it's an error, did nobody seriously notice it while they were taking 800 zillion pictures in order to do the stop-motion effect they used in that scene? I think it's far more likely that, Moffat is doing something, as you say, totally crazy.)
