Multiverse and such

Sep 30, 2011 08:29

Whew. Finished my Multiverse story. It's not nearly as good as the story it's a sequel to, but I think it does what I wanted it to do, so that's good. And hey, I wrote something!

Yesterday was much more pleasant than I expected. Yael was very well-behaved in shul but Barak was so rambunctious that Avi sent me away with the kids and Yael had a nice long playdate with Jasper and I got to talk to Liz for a bit. Nice afternoon.

My one concern is that Yael slept over at my in-law's last night and they didn't have a humidifier. I hope she wasn't wheezing and unhappy all night :( I said she should come home, but Avi decided to let her stay. ::shakes head::

Too bad today's yet another exciting day of services. Whee. Maybe today the shul playground will be unlocked so I can take the kids there? (Note to self: Remember to wear something with long sleeves, because the quiet room in the sanctuary was FREEZING yesterday.)

After prodding Avi only five or six times, he remembered to invite his parents to dinner tonight so that his mother doesn't end up cooking for us three nights in a row. I just hope I bought enough chicken...I can't remember so far back. (It was all of two days ago, after all.)

Monday I have a phone meeting with my boss (good) and the webmaster of one of the Suddenly Sprockets! divisions (not so good). I'm going to be starting the process of transferring their website over to be part of ours, but this woman is freaking out about how the way their site is set up has "meaning" and she needs to talk with me blah blah.

I have to say, this is not the division I would have expected to consider themselves speshul unique snowflakes. It could just be this one woman, I suppose. Anyway, the meeting would be more terrifying if said boss wasn't going to be on the call, because I know she's got my back as long as I'm being reasonable. So I think the meeting will be more amusingly awkward than scary.

Okay. Time to actually get in the shower if we're gonna drag our asses to shul again. And I need to pack the diaper bag (and take yesterday's dirty clothing out of it) because goodness only knows nobody else will.
