I cannot tell you exactly how satisfying this was to read. The ending was pitch-perfect. Far too many multi-chaptered fics end up fizzling out in the end, but yours didn't. You kept up full steam ahead, stringing out the mystery and suspense beautifully.

Thank you for the warm response. It's quite amazing how the ending came together for me as a I was writing it. About half way through the story, I started working on the ending because it was just clear where this had to go. I had originally hoped to leave it as a short story, but as things progressed, I realized there was so much more to tell. The ending is meant to imitate ESB - suddenly you're hit with this startling revelation, and then it's pretty much over. There has to be a sequel; there's no two ways about it. So I'm really glad that it worked and that it had such an impact on you!

I love that Luke wanted to protect Mara, even at the risk to his own life. And that Mara carries her 'new hope' to Dagobah and Yoda.

What'll really be interesting is seeing how Mara and Yoda interact. ;) I see a battle of wills in the future...
