Ok, guys, I love your stories, but you need to remember that Mountain Dew and Rodney McKay don't mix. The top three ingredients of Mountain Dew are as follows: carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and concentrated orange juice. The only way you can get away with making McKay drink Mountain Dew is if you're writing a story where Rodney is somehow cured of his citrus allergy or he's in an AU where he was never allergic to begin with.
While looking up the ingredients of Mountain Dew, I learned that Health Canada doesn't allow caffeine in drinks that contain orange juice, so Rodney would've had to pick up a taste for it in the U.S. if he was crazy enough to risk his life drinking it.
