Can someone explain to me why some people who have picked up a few expressions in Russian try to speak Russian to me? I am not talking about people who are learning the language here. Neither am I talking about some unconventional witty expressions. No, the plain ones, especially those meant as questions, like "How are you ( Read more... )

Haha no. He did ask me for a few expressions in Russian, but wasn't vain enough to try to carry a conversation in this awkward manner.

Can you smack him for promising the wings and not delivering them though?
