Elvis Was In The Subway
Yes you did read the heading correctly. I did indeed see Elvis in the NYC subway system. I am pretty sure it was him. He had the sideburns, the froofy hair and the 1970's shades. The fact that he spoke with an East Indian accent or was brown-skinned in no way deters me from thinking otherwise!!!
Spent the day hunting for stuff that I did not need, however LoMedHi was excellent in preventing me from buying all the doohickies and gadgets that one needs to feel manly. In other words I bought nothing today. Damn LoMedHi!!!!!
It's really weird but for the last few days, people have been coming up to me and asking where places and streets are. It's like I look like a New YOOOKAH! It's sorta kool. I think that perhaps I am destined to come here. I mean I have always wanted to live in NYC for a year. It has changed so much since the first time I came. Cleaner, Brighter, Less Calories.
My latest quest has been for a FM Transmitter. So far, I have seen a few ranging from $30 to $90. It's a bit complicated to find the right one that does not drink batteries or is not a rip-off!
One of the downsides to being in NY was that I was hoping to try a few kool places to eat. Sadly, in such a big city it can be difficult to find what you're looking for when you don't know where to look. Today we ate at a kool lunch place that served vegetarian dishes. It was excellent except I could not really eat the Goat cheese. I like Feta but not Goat cheese... Go figure. I did find Limonata from San Pelligrino. YUM!!!
