Off I Go!!!!
I decided at the last minute to take off to UK and then to Europe.
I'm leaving tomorrow. I'm not really sure what I will be doing or my schedule will be but I hope I will be able to see some friends and family.
One friend, whose name is Paul. I met him 13 years ago. He was a friend of my old room-mate. We became friends and have always kept in touch over the years. Because he had visited the US and Canada, he became the resident 'expert' on anything North American. There were times that he would call at 2a.m. in the morning to ask me some question that was the subject of intense debate at his pub.
It would be great to renew a friendship.
I also have a number of relatives in UK. I am contemplating contacting a few of them. My cousin Tripti is high on the list but some of my Dad's family...Well I have a certain amount of hostility toward them for how they treated my Dad.
So what are my plans? Well, I'm looking forward to a proper 'English' tea with Soofia and just hanging around some museums. I am also hoping to get in touch with my other fave Brit, Lindsey. Though she has mysteriously disappeared recently... So I think I am going to launch a small investigation to see what has been going on in her life.. It will consist of that one important question: What's been going on in your life?
I hope to make it to Paris and see Delphine and Sven and head back to the Louvre...
There is more to come.. I have a LONG day tomorrow... My friend Darrin will drive me to the airport but at 2:30pm..Plane leaves at 8 pm.. Still not finished packing.
