I am having an AWESOME day!!!!
Good news!!!
Mike got a full-time teaching position at a private school in West Van....well, it's an assitant position - a one year contract..but he will be taking over the class by himself whenever is needed...and this will give him the experience needed to get full-time work anywhere in Vancouver!!
When I heard the news...I screamed, I was so happy. I can't wipe the shit-eating grin off his face :D Such a long wait..and finally things are happening for him. He starts next Friday...
He did have to hoop over his current boss...as she doesn't have anyone to fill his position. But she did say she was very happy for him...and if things didn't work out with teaching for next year, there is always a job for him at the Pharmacy. He will still do the driving job for Azmina until she can find someone..and she said she may need him on a Saturday once in awhile. Never burn bridges..he likes to say.

And on top of it all..I got a huge $4 an hour raise today....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Sweet....this will definitely come in handy while paying off our mortgage. What great timing!! Or maybe it will just give us more spending cash when we are in Scotland. I am still going to apply for that job with Guidant..but the wage difference isn't as huge as it was before..so I may stick with what's easy so that Mike and I will have time for kids in a few years.
Off to go celebrate...damn I wish we didn't have to work tomorrow....
And yes..I did post this as a Public entry on purpose...as I just love proving certain people wrong...actually just a certain person who didn't believe in Mike all along.
