Having talented friends is a good idea.

So, yesterday I posted something about how I'm over winter already, even though it's not even the middle of December yet. But today I received a painting of a beautiful winter scene from a very talented friend, and it put me right back into the Yuletide winter spirit. The painting shows a cabin surrounded by snow covered mountains and trees, and a snowy, stormy sky. It's like the embodiment of the strong, clean northern spirit that I sometimes like to think I identify, and I could totally picture myself spending an entire winter in that cozy little cabin, watching the snow fall. The interesting thing is that it was painted by someone from Tennessee, but since they have mountains, maybe they lots of snow, even though it's a lot further south. Or maybe the artist just has a really good imagination, as well as a lot of talent. The painting certainly looks like the embodiment of winter. And now I'm back into the winter spirit, and I intend to go for a long walk through the snow later this evening.
