Delayed happy b.day to Michelle!
Fall break happened. I spent enough time in lab to make up for hours missed on all three days of the high holidsys. Tammy visited - it was entertaining. Spent Yom Kippor in Norfolk - it was good.
I think I might have accidentally become the point-person for earthquake relief efforts at WM. 'cause very few people are doing shit, and there are 40,000 dead, 62,000 wounded, and 2.5 million homeless as a result of the quake. One of the better nonprofits helping out there is if you're looking for a place to donate.
In other news, "Palestinian Gunmen Killed 3 Israeli Civilians Near Settlements in the West Bank.
Have taken four tests in the last two weeks and have a fifth on Tuesday...
Still trying to get the kosher/halal club organized.
Waiting on SA to get minority religious holidays on the WM website.
There should be a Sukkah on campus this year! I got to make decorations for it earlier this afternoon; it was fun. The construction paper chain had sentimental value, but I'm especially proud of the Jewish star outline with "Spread over us your shelter of peace", the Hebrew song of which that's a loose translation, and "Shalom/Salaam/Peace"....After making decorations I provided cinammon, sugar, and an egg for use in Challah to be eaten in the Sukkah tomorow...Sadly, despite the fact that I don't really bake ever I knew more about baking than the other two women present...But the dough itself is pre-made, and it's hard to screw up a glaze, so it should still be quite tasty...
I should go do work now...
Tomorow: work (fax VAOut the Bob Smith contract while there), soc. class, call Belkov, get WM tax info. from Anita, religion class...Somewhere in there I should pretend JC has time to meet with me to discuss data, talk with Allegro about Tuesday's exam, talk with Tierney about what in the world is happening in IR...
Now, however, I should do my religion reading.
