Explanation of the above:
Monday evening marks the start of the Jewish Year 5766. Traditionally, during the ten days starting Monday evening, Jews examine their lives and see how they can do better. On Yom Kippur, Jews apologize to G-d for their misdeeds during the past year. However, for an action against another person, one must apologize to that person. Thus, the above apology.
May you and your loved ones be inscribed in the book of life for a year of sweetness, joy, health, and fulfillment.
