Grave Matters
Pretty weighty title, hmmm? That it is - and it's the title of a book that was discussed on National Public Radio's show Fresh Air yesterday. Here's the website for the book, and I think it looks interesting. Having endured several of those 'tired and toxic send-offs' within the last several years, I'd like to see what other alternatives people are proposing.
Judaism is against cremation; in fact, Judaism in its purist form doesn't even want you to have your ears pierced (insert rolled eyes here). For sure, you're not getting buried in a Jewish cemetary if you're excessively tattooed and/or pierced - at least, not to my knowledge.
