Just like most events!
Saturday and Sunday 3-11PM were spent watching absolute crap, interspersed with complete mind trips, with the anime club. Good times! Saturday featured the GI Joe movie (wassss once a maaaaan!), Moonwalker (wassss once a maaaaan!), some informative films (message: if you are a shut-in and your parents suck, you will not be popular), some Neurotically Yours (boooooo) which I mercifully managed to miss most of, and Ultimate Teacher. Ultimate Teacher was surprisingly awesome. Some of you may believe you know something about quality pedagogues in anime, but do they have the charlie-horse disciplinary attack? They do not. They are not ultimate!
Sunday was Samurai Spirits (terrible), the first part of Samurai Spirits 2 (slightly less terrible), the Transformers the Movie (you have seen this; I accept no other possibility), the Animation Show (gaaaaaaaaaah), Bela Lugosi Meets the Brooklyn Gorilla (Dukie!), and Plan 9 from Outer Space (which had both Bela Lugosi and Dukie). We threw paper plates, as one must in such situations. We also developed a list of the tasks a woman must be able to do in order to be Duke Moore's assistant: she must be able to lift chairs, beat rugs, wash cars, and grind using pestel and mortar. In order to work for Bela Lugosi, she must additionally be able to wash test tubes and care for a monkey.
In order to hire Bela Lugosi for a shitty film, a producer needs to offer him plenty of booze.
