Wow. It's been nearly a month since I last updated, which is definetly longer than I planned on waiting in between updates. Again, I have my best friend procrastination to blame for this. I guess I'll say right now that while I would like to update every 2 weeks, there's no way I'll be able to guarantee such a thing. Anyhow, onward.
This past week has been one of incredible business. I think this is fhe first time that I had something due in each of my 6 classes, so things were even more hectic than usual. Some of the things included two take-home midterms, a grant proposal write-up, a couple of assingments I just got done today (though not entirely), and another assingment that's severl days late and I'm very close to just forgetting about it. Next week isn't looking much better. On Monday I have a take-home midterm that's due plus an in-class midterm, Tuesday I have descriptions/instructions that have to be written up, Thursday I have a presentation in another class to give, and then a couple other assingments that may or not be due that week.
But there's some good things happening next week as well. On Wednesday I'll be getting my cap and gown for graduation, as well as ordering invitations (which is a not-so-subtle reminder that I must graduate). Also on that same day a good friend of mine is going to be coming back from Japan for his break, and he'll be in Fairbanks till around Sunday. I'm really looking forward to that (and also for any stuff that he got me while he was over there :-). And then, after my last class is over on the 15th, Spring Break begins. Man, that'll be such a relief to not worry about school for an entire week. At this point I don't know what I plan on doing when that comes around. I'd like to think I could be productive and get some stuff out of the way, but deep down I know there's no chance in hell of that happening.
As Wolf has mentioned on his site, him and I have been getting back into Starcraft a lot lately. I'm glad to say, this game is just as fun now as it was 2 years ago. I also believe I've improved a hell of a lot since that time. The new replay feature is extremely nice, too. So far we've been playing against computers, but I'm hoping sometime soon we'll play against other humans, or even each other. I'd love to see the replays from those games.
Other than that, not much else to report. I've been pretty much done using my friend's PS2 for a long time now. I managed to finish FFX and GTA3 last month, and both of those games are downright superb. Every now and then I'll put on MGS2 and go dog tag collecting, but I don't think I'm going to obsess about getting each and every one.
Well, that's it for now. Maybe I'll try to put something up over the break. We'll see.
