What is it that they say about the quiet and the storm? It had certainly been quiet over the past week - so quiet that Vicky Vale had found herself standing in the middle of Main Street smiling at the camera and saying

The quiet dinner had been a nice time to catch up on things with everyone, namely Harry and Connor, and Mary Jane was grateful for the time together before they took off for the party thrown by Bruce Wayne - at an amusement park no less. Harry had insisted on buying the right clothes for the event since, well, the invitation clearly stated black tie.
She stood with Peter, Connor, and Natalie talking while Harry took off to go speak with Bruce. After a while, Connor left the group to find Harry again while Natalie began to introduce the two to a few people.
Sipping at her champagne, Mary Jane glances up at the rides and smiles at the thought of being at an amusement park for Harry Osborn's twenty-third birthday. She smiles and makes easy conversation with a few of the other guests and notices the children running around.
Once he has made his rounds greeting some of the guests and managing to test out some of the rides, Harry runs back into Mary Jane and Natalie. There are two little kids who want to ride one of the rollercoasters, but they will need someone of appropriate height to go with them. Luckily Peter and Connor notice this and come to their rescue. That is what superheroes do.
"How's two of my favorite girls?" Harry asks, and this time he has dropped the champagne glasses and is drinking a soda instead. He doesnt' want to get drunk at a public event.
Taking a sip of his soda, he looks around and can't help but smile, "This is amazing isn't it? I'm glad we didn't bring Evan though. I think this would have been a little overwhelming for him. Tell me none of the boring people have been bothering the two of you."
That's Harry Osborn in a good mood for you. He just keeps talking and talking while switching subjects quickly.
"I agree." Natalie answered as her eyes continued to take in the amusement park around her. Only one of Harry's friends would throw him a black tie event party at an amusement park. It's one of the strangest things Natalie has ever seen.
She turned her eyes back to Harry and Mary Jane and smiled a little bit when it registered that he'd asked how they were. "I'm fine, a little amazed at the party. Why are there boring people here and how is the birthday boy?" She asked him, a slight smirk touching the corner of her mouth as she turned her focus back onto him.
"You must be loving this." She said only somewhat seriously. She was almost tempted to regret not bringing Evan with her but her son was still a bit too young to enjoy a party like this.
Peter and Connor go off to ride one of the rollercoasters with some of the children and Mary Jane smiles as she watches the four together. Turning back to Harry and Natalie, she nods on agreement. "It really is," she says, still a little amazed but mostly because she's wearing a dress to an amusement park.
"No boring people yet," she flashes a smile at Harry. "You haven't had to make any small talk with any of them have you?" He probably has considering that the OsCorp board had been invited. Of course, MJ is certain Harry amused himself enough while talking to them anyway.
"I hope you've at least gotten to ride some of the rides instead of just making the rounds."
A tray passes by and she drops her glass down on it, not bothering to go for another just yet then smiles again at the to of them. "I'm sure Aunt May is happy she stayed back to keep him company."
"They keep cornering me. I'm in a good enough mood to keep myself amused while attempting to be polite though," He tells Mary Jane. He gets why Bruce invited them. He's trying to prepare Harry to take back over OsCorp once he graduates. That is what a mentor does. Harry wonders at what age will he be able to deal with it and not feel like a root canal would be a more pleasant experience

Folding one arm across her waist her fingers wrap around the wrist holding her drink as she watches Harry try and pop one of the balloons with a dart. She glances over at Mary Jane with a smile before she looks back over at Harry who has been mostly successful in his endeavor. Well, at least in the beginning and then the hits are only as great as the misses.
She took the darts from Harry and held one up, her tongue just poking a bit between her lips as she tried to concentrate on the target. Finally she let it go and was surprised when she burst a yellow balloon before turning back to Harry with a shrug. "It was probably a lucky shot." She explained to him as she handed Mary Jane one of the darts to try her luck.
Once Mary Jane had thrown one Natalie threw another one and missed. She was sure that between the three of them one of them should be able to win something for Evan but none of them seemed to have a decent aim among them. For that Natalie wished that Connor would come back soon.
Darts seems to be harder than it looks, Mary Jane decides as she misses on her second attempt. She shakes her head and laughs and if Peter or Connor were here they'd probably clean house and have every single balloon popped in a matter of minutes. But instead, the three of only halfway decent dart throwers were trying out their luck

Harry nods his head after selecting a big stuffed tiger for his son. He'll have someone stash it away in the limo in a minute or two. "Yeah, I'm sure they will be over rides by the time they finish

A smile creased Natalie's face when Harry picks out the tiger and then even more so when he pays for the unicorn for the little girl at the party. Harry was going to be a good father, Natalie could see that just from the way he was interacting around strangers. He'd always been generous but she had been afraid for the worst in the beginning. Now all of that fear almost seemed silly

After leaving the booth, they walk through the crowds back toward some of the rides and she looks up to the rollercoaster to see the car shooting by. Mary Jane smiles when she spots Connor and Peter with two children that weren't the ones they originally left with earlier.
She pauses long enough to pick up another glass of champagne and sips on it as they watch all the rides. Even if Peter has had enough of the rides, she'll be sure to make him go with her on at least a couple. She knows that he will if she asks, so she's not too worried about him putting up much of a fight.
A couple children run by with some of the stuffed animals in their hands and it makes MJ grin. Hopefully the vendors will be able to last all of the kids taking Harry up on his offer to get whatever they wanted.
The ride ends and Mary Jane nods when she sees Peter and Connor stepping off the ride. "There they are," she says and raises a brow at the look on Peter's face. Too bad he would be taking her on another ride or two before the night is over.
"Good thing they both have strong stomachs," Harry says casually. Natalie of course has seen that Connor has special abilities, but he's been careful not to reveal Peter's secret.
He spots someone familiar and excuses himself for just a moment to ask one of the waiters if they would mind running the tiger out to the limo. Once he has passed off the stuffed animal, he snags a glass of champagne from a tray. If he alternates between alcohol and soda he won't get too intoxicated.
"We don't have to wait for them. If you two are ready to hit the rides we can start now." After all it's not like some of the rides aren't appropriate for three people. He is pretty sure finding someone else to step in when a fourth is needed won't be hard. Plus it may motivate Peter and Connor to join them quicker if they see them amusing themselves.
Natalie takes another sip of her champagne when Mary Jane finally spots Connor and Peter in the crowd, near one of the rides. It was amusing to watch the two of them lord over a group of small children at an amusement park when they were in tuxedos. She's pretty sure this won't stop being amusing for the rest of the night.
"I've always been a rollercoaster fan." Natalie admits to the two of them with a grin. It would be hard finding a rollercoaster with a three seater she's certain they won't be unaccompanied for long. For a moment she almost feels like a child again as she turns back to Harry and Mary Jane who are looking at her with some amusement.
Amusement. Well, it is an amusement park, right? "Don't get squeamish on me now, Harry." She teases him as the three of them start to make their way through the crowd.
