Concert, French Consulate, my Dad
As usual nothing has really been happening up here. Last night I went to Carrie's jazz ensemble concert tonight. They are really good. They played some really cool pieces and most of them I have never heard of so it was cool listening to something new. But it was nice to get away from Norwich too plus she's an awesome person to hang out and relax with.
So today is just retarded. There are literally 20 Generals and Admirals, including the French Consulate General from Washington D.C. on campus today. I mean you know that they are important when they arrive in their own Blackhawk and have black SUV's with tinted windows waiting for them when they land lol. We have this huge parade today for the French guys here, they are giving out the Legion of Merit, which is the French version of our Medal of Honor, to a bunch of US WWII vets.
My dad comes home to NJ today :-). I don't know when his flight gets in but he'll be home tonight sometime. I'm surprised the demobilized his unit so quickly, usually the army takes forever doing that kind of stuff.
This weekend, well I have no idea what's going on this weekend. The only thing I know of is my comcert is on Sunday, which is going to suck because well, my band sucks haha. The only cool thing that is going to happen is the 1812 Overture with Artillery Battery shooting off the cannons. Other than that the concert is going to suck. Other than that I think that this is going to be a pretty boring weekend. I'll probably end up at the Rustic tonight just to have somehting to do lol.
