~No One’s Pov~

Dark blue, a beautiful color that ghosted the night sky was accompanied by the vibrant moon. The soft hues of blue merged so marvelously. Tonight was a breathtaking night, he enjoyed the darkness, and it soothed him in many aspects. He stood there, on the balcony of his room, staring towards the sky, enjoying the view displaying before him. From here, he could see the lighted town, it sparkled so welcomingly.

He breathes in, admiring the breeze. A month has passed since Hyukjae became his suiter. He took the patience to learn some facts about the boy and they’ve bonded pretty well-let alone, he understands the boy more, somewhat. He knows that Hyukjae love strawberries, that Hyukjae is very shy around girls, that the boy was completely filled with innocence, independence, and was very impulsive, thus creates a very inquisitive character. He lost track of how many times the human offered him his neck. It was tempting, so, so tempting. But he couldn’t take the boy just yet, because he knew that if he did, he wouldn’t be able to stop. He hasn’t fully been able to control his thirst around the latter yet, and he’s still trying to contain himself, along with containing Hyukjae from trying to tempt him more, by giving the boy permission to run loose around the palace. On the other hand, he always kept a close eye on his suiter. He can feel his admiration build towards the boy’s helpfulness and has become quite accustomed to the other’s presence.

“He has beautiful eyes, Donghae,” Leeteuk complimented, a gentle smile graced his lips as he looked Hyukjae in the eyes, the other blushed slightly, not use to having people compliment him, “Read them and understand his story. Maybe you might be able to persuade him then…” he trailed off and turned to stare at the brunette with commanding eyes, “…you understand what I mean, right?”

Thinking back on Leeteuk’s proposition, the Prince retreated back inside, closing the glass doors to his balcony and laid on his bed. He’s been observing the redhead carefully, and now that he thinks about it, he doesn’t really know anything about his suiter’s life. What a shame for him to be called a Prince. Yup, he was a Prince who knows nothing about his suiter, other than the simple facts. Maybe it was time for him to fully understand Hyukjae, to fully know the other’s story.

Tomorrow.

He will ask the other tomorrow.

-

The next morning, Hyukjae woke up early like always and was ready to go out and enjoy the day, roaming the palace. Thoughts of having Donghae pierce his fangs into his neck made him shiver with a tad hint of excitement. What his bunny friend mentioned, about his master and him not being one disturbed him a bit. He, himself, didn’t really understand why Donghae wouldn’t bite him and take him willingly. But what was the point of thinking about it? Donghae was still drinking his blood, even if it was drawn blood. He shrug the thought away and continued dressing himself, his back facing his door. Pulling up his pants, he looked up at the small windows of his room, sighing as his bare shoulders slouch. Light, of course there was light entering his room, he enjoyed its company, but he would like some wind to enter so he could enjoy the fresh breeze once in a while before he sleeps.

Donghae has bonded with him, they got to know one another better and he knows that Donghae prefers the moon over the sun, the vampire enjoyed the darkness that enveloped the sky at night, and that Donghae has a hard time accepting things. No doubt the vampire had a hard time, he could easily sense it when he first met Donghae; the denial was a bit harsh. On the other hand, the Prince had three older brothers: Heechul, Yesung, and Yunho, though he has heard Donghae talk about them from time-to-time, he’s never really seen the other two Princes since they lived in different quarters of the palace. Donghae told him that he had a love rival by the name of Siwon-one of his cousins who he detests and always competes against. While on the other hand, there was one cousin who Donghae takes a liking to, the Devil who goes by Kyuhyun, even without Donghae talking about him, he’s heard quite a lot about the vampire from Sungmin.

His stay at the palace wasn’t such a waste, even though Donghae lets him run loose all day, he was wary of all the eyes that were glaring at him. He didn’t need them to tell him what was on their minds because he knew that they disliked the Young Prince having a male as a suiter. But, some people who worked here were really nice, like Jaejoong and Ryeowook, along with Leeteuk and some other suiters and workers. Speaking of Leeteuk, he’s hasn’t visit the elder yet, but he plans to soon.

Shaking away from his long thoughts, he turn to his closet and took out a decent shirt, instant images of his master dressing him flashed across his mind, making him blush a deep shade of red. Quickly grabbing a random shirt, he closed his closet shut and turned back to face his windows, hiding his face in the shirt he was holding. Why did he think of such a scene? It was inappropriate to do so.

As he was about to put his shirt on, something cold ghosted over the whip lashes on his bare back. He let out a gasped, feeling a weird shivering tingle run through his body and quickly turned around, only to come face-to-face with his master, whose eyes were hard to decipher. Why did Donghae touch him like that? His grip on his shirt unconsciously became tighter. Donghae was staring at him with a gaze he couldn’t read and he was becoming uncomfortable by the intenseness written in them.

“You…” Donghae’s voice was soft like velvet, “…what was your parents like?”

Hyukjae was pulled back by the sudden question. The Prince just asked him about his parents. Was the vampire starting to care about him? He smiled a little at the thought, “What’s with the sudden interest, your Highness?” he knew it wasn’t in a suiter’s rights to ask his master questions, but he couldn’t help his curiosity.

Donghae’s body stiffened upon looking at Hyukjae’s eyes. He finally understood what Leeteuk meant when the elder told him to look into the human’s eyes. He finally understood, because all he could see was sadness-a speck of melancholy, deeply engraved in those very pure, brown, and innocent orbs. Nevertheless he walked around his suiter to face the other’s naked back once again before gently touching the scars that marked the milky flesh. He gulped, imagining the pain his suiter must have went through and his stomach twirled disturbingly, “It must of hurt…”

A grim smile spread on the human’s lips while his head hung low. Donghae’s cold touch made him shiver a little at its coldness, but he was more than happy to know that Donghae cared about him, even if it was only a little.

“Who did this to you?”

Hyukjae bit his bottom lip; he refused to tell Donghae, he didn’t want Donghae to know. But the necklace that was dangling around his neck told him otherwise, he cannot disobey his master. So with a shaky breath, he mumbled the answer out in a croaky and small voice, “My uncle…”

Even though Hyukjae said that last part quietly, Donghae heard it fairly well. His hand retreated itself away from Hyukjae’s back as his hands fisted into balls. He was angered by the thought of others touching what is his. Staring at the redhead’s back, his jaw tightened in pain. While he was having the time of his life as a prince, his suiter was suffering from abuse.

“About my parents…” Hyukjae quietly mumbled, gaining Donghae’s attention, “…I’ve never seen them before…”

Donghae could hear the sadness in the boy’s voice and felt the want to embrace Hyukjae in his arms, but he held himself back, “Sorry,” it was a simple apology that Hyukjae still wasn’t used to.

Donghae was the Young Prince, and as much as he knows, Princes’ don’t apologize to someone who’s in a lower rank, but he was grateful towards his master, “You don’t have to pity me, your Highness,” he quickly put on his shirt and turned around to face Donghae with a gentle smile, “What do you want me to do today? Run around again?”

“…” the Prince was lost and pulled in by the other’s beautiful smile, but before the other could speak up again, he turned on his heels and left the room.

Hyukjae also learned another thing about his Highess, Donghae tends to walk away without saying anything.

-

Walking down the lighted hallways, Hyukjae let his feet drag him around. The palace had a lot of beautiful sceneries that he admired and enjoyed. He smiled as the sun showered him with warmth, he hasn’t been able to see Junsu yet, but he knows that he will bump into his friend one day or another. Sighing, he found himself drawing near the garden that changed his life. Water was sprouting out of the fountain and the flowers he first witnessed with Sungmin that night were dancing lightly with the wind. His smile broadens at the scene.

Letting his eyes trail across the flowers, he saw a pink weeping cherry tree. Its petals danced in the air, floating ever so slightly, but what caught his eyes the most was the person who was sleeping under the tree. He noticed the disheveled short black hair, the way the boy’s back leaned against the trunk of the tree, the long eye lashes, the book that was opened and facing down on his lap, the sight before him made his heart skip a beat.

The boy was also a vampire.

Hyukjae could only guess because of the clothes the “supposedly” vampire was wearing was similar to his masters. Was he a prince? Hyukjae didn’t know, but what he did know was: it was the right time to leave. Who knows what a sleeping vampire could do to him, he was obviously disrupting the other’s peaceful sleep for being there in the first place. So without any second thought, Hyukjae turned around and was ready to leave, until a soft, low, harmonious voice startled him from behind.

“Don’t leave…”

Hyukjae froze; the voice was just too soothing to his ears. He slowly turned around to face the now awaking vampire, his breath hitched, and the other chuckled at him.

“Are you that afraid of me?” the vampire questions, picking up his book from his lap and began to read from it. He never once looked at Hyukjae, “Tell me, you’re Lee Hyukjae. Prince Donghae’s suiter, right?”

Hyukjae felt no need to speak and just nodded his head.

“You don’t talk?” the vampire who was quite amused closed his book shut and stood up, dusting off the invisible dust on his pants before finally looking up and locking eyes with the human. He smiled a smile that had a hidden meaning behind it.

Feeling a bit tense at the smile he was receiving, Hyukjae could feel an odd vibe coming off of the vampire, he didn’t hate or like it, but it wasn’t a calming vibe. His heart was disturbed. Why was he wavering? Why did he feel drawn to the other? This wasn’t right, Donghae’s his master.

“You are as beautiful as they say,” the vampire advanced towards him until they were only a few feet away from one another, “Choi Minho, Donghae’s younger cousin,” he greeted with a small bow of his head.

Cousin? Hyukjae’s never heard about him before, speaking of which, Donghae didn’t even mention anything about Minho. Ignoring the questions his mind was suddenly having, he bowed back in respect. Minho seemed harmless; on the other hand, the vampire seemed really nice and welcoming. It was just that weird feeling in the pit of his stomach that was worrying him. A feeling he wasn’t supposed to have.

“It’s nice meeting you,” he croaked out, his voice was dry-he was too nervous.

Minho chuckled lightly, “So you do talk, it’s nice to meet you too, Hyukjae.”

Hyukjae rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed, “Sorry about earlier…for disturbing your peace.”

The taller male thought for a second on what to say and only smiled, “Don’t worry, I was only taking a short nap from reading,” he assured.

Hyukjae smiled along with him and noticed how Minho was staring at his necklace, he looked down at it and smiled, “Do you have a suiter?” his question made Minho look away from his necklace.

“I do,” the taller male simply answered, his eyes stared at Hyukjae’s hands, traveling up towards the human’s exposed neck, looking for any sign of bite mark. He was anxious, but when he found there was none, he let out a smile of relief, as if his life had just been saved. He felt his body twitch, sensing an unwelcoming presence, his eyebrows knitted together and his eyes sharpened as he looked past Hyukjae, sending a burning glare towards their guest.

Hyukjae was a bit confused at the fierce glare Minho was sending him, but when he noticed that it wasn’t being directly sent to him, he turned around and followed the younger male’s gaze.

Donghae.

“Hyukjae, let’s go,” Donghae’s voice was harsh and demanding as his eyes battled with Minho’s.

Gulping, Hyukjae did as he was told, “I’m sorry, but I have to go, it was nice meeting you Minho…” he trailed off, not knowing how to address the younger one, but quickly bowed and walked towards Donghae who immediately grabbed onto his hand and dragged him away.

“Don’t hang around with him,” Donghae ordered through gritted teeth.

“Why?” Hyukjae was confused. What was bad about Minho that Donghae didn’t want him hanging out with the other vampire?

“Because he’s Siwon’s younger brother, brothers think alike, they’re dangerous,” the Prince hissed under his breath.

Without asking anymore, Hyukjae made an “oh” face and let himself be dragged towards the Prince’s bedroom. His mind wasn’t calm though. That wavering feeling he had around Minho confused him. Donghae gave him the same feelings, but Minho’s presence made him feel-

“Don’t think about him!” Donghae roared as soon as they reached his bedroom.

Hyukjae was shock at his master’s outburst, “I-I wasn’t thinking about him, your Highness,” he tried but failed miserably when Donghae threw him onto the bed. He his hand quickly clasped onto his newly bruised wrist.

“I can sense when you’re not thinking about me,” Donghae mumbled coldly, his darks eyes were digging holes into Hyukjae’s body.

Propping himself up with his elbows, Hyukjae stared at his master with remorse, “I’m sorry,” he was about to stand up, but Donghae ordered him to not move a muscle, and he obeyed.

“You…you’re my suiter! Not his!” the Prince literally yelled, as if he was afraid to lose the other.

This left Hyukjae in a cloud of confusion. Why was Donghae acting this way? Did he really do something so wrong? Did talking to Minho make him so angry? If so, he won’t ever talk to Minho ever again, “I’m your suiter and only yours,” he softly reassured the angry vampire, he didn’t want to see Donghae acting this way, it kind of scared him, “If it’s what you want, for me to only think about you, I will do as you wish,” he genuinely added. He could see the way Donghae’s eyes started to soften, and he smiled.

“I take it back.”

Hyukjae raised an eyebrow, once again, lost. He watched as Donghae proceeded towards him, straddling him. His face flushed red; he couldn’t help but look away, revealing his milky neck for his master.

“I take it all back…” Donghae’s husky voice bounced throughout the room as his body pressed against Hyukjae’s, his face drew towards the other’s neck, licking the junction between the boy’s neck and shoulder, “…I’ve been thinking a lot these days, whether to mark you or not mark you…I’ve made my decision today,” he whispered into his suiter’s ear, smirking at how Hyukjae’s arms gave out on him from propping himself. He helped Hyukjae lie on his back, his arms snaking around the smaller male’s waist, “…I’m tempted, I was always tempted to bite you…” he nuzzled his nose into the crook of Hyukjae’s neck, taking in the addicting scent. His mind was lost in a haze as he began to suck on the supple neck, nipping here and there, leaving fresh purple marks. He disliked the thought of Hyukjae belonging to someone else other than him.

All Hyukjae could do was moan under Donghae’s ministrations. It felt so good to be licked and sucked by his master. His body was arching with pleasure and excitement. He loved the way Donghae’s hands slipped under his shirt, caressing his sides. This was it. Donghae was going to bite him, right? Donghae’s going to finally bite him and make him his, right?

Extending his fangs, he felt lust consume him. Hearing the intoxicating blood pump throughout the boy’s body aroused him in so many ways; it made him want to rip the boy’s skin off. He placed his fangs over the boy’s neck, ready to plunge into the baby-like skin, but a knock on his door made him freeze. He stopped what he was doing and groaned as he lazily pulled away from Hyukjae, who immediately stood up, fixing his clothes and hair with a flushed face.

The door opened and a messenger guard walked in and bowed in respect. What the messenger said made Donghae’s blood freeze, “His and Her Majesty is back, your Highness.”
