Student Artist

As I unpack my entire life (and attempt to fit 21 years into a closet-sized bedroom, which already had a "home" life packed into it), I realized student artists just waste. I have a huge pile of matted and window mounted prints that I don't like and that don't belong in any sort of portfolio I'd ever show a potential client. Busy work. Work teachers asked for, and I turned in without thinking twice. I can't bring myself to just throw it all out, but I physically don't have space to keep it all. I have about a million sketch books, and probably 2/3rds of them were mandatory for a class, and not even full of sketches I care about. I have another huge bag (aka an old broken zip-up "portfolio") full of art supplies that I probably won't ever use again. Next year is going to be entirely about photography, and I don't sit around using Sculpy and watercolors.

Such a waste.
