was an accident... but a good one at that.
Woke up on time, apparently didn't snore all night and keep Casey up, so that's a good thing (it was a legit fear when I was falling asleep, fully aware of my mouth hanging wide open because I couldn't breathe through my nose still).
Proceeded to double-dose my meds by taking two Mucinex (ok), plus a dose of DayQuil (probably not ok). The outcome? I felt pretty good actually... totally wired and focused while I did my Honors paper, which was a help, to say the least.
Neil's "final" was surprisingly pleasant. He put in a surrealist movie that Hannah forewarned me that she'd never heard of and chances were it would suck (I was down in the basement printing my final articles that I had finally gotten around to finishing) - it was called La cité des enfants perdus aka The City of Lost Children aka oh my god I finally figured out where Steam Punk came from and why I love it so much. Millét may be my future child's middle name. Best final I've ever taken, or watched I suppose.
Spent the next 4ish hours finishing my Honors paper, which turned out pretty darn good if I do say so myself. Forgot a title though... who does that? Apparently I was so wrapped up in finishing it, I completely forgot to give it a proper name. Oh well, it wasn't on the requirement sheet, so even though it should be a no-brainer, I don't think they can take points off for it. Grazyna might, out of English-teacher spite though...
After that, Amanda got me and Laur's hopes up. She told us that there were five-cent margaritas at TGIFridays. Sounding too good to be true, we had to check it out, so I grabbed up Hanners, they got Mike, Ashley Travers, and her boyfriend, and we filled Amanda's scary as hell van (ok, really, it's her driving skills we're more afraid of). I figured, hey, double doses of meds and tequila? I've gotta feel better in no time!
5 cent margaritas were too good to be true after all. Amanda lied. Her coupon said "5 cent appetizers IF you order a drink at the bar, and you could try the newest margarita! just because!" Laur had to pay $8 for a drink, and then 5 cents for her mozz sticks. Dang. I got a coke and some icecream.
From there, we decided no - we do, in fact, need to get margaritas if we made that whole trip out there to get some, so we went right across the street to get them at Chillis. Much cheaper, and Hanners and I split our buy-one-get-ones so we could try two different flavors. Such a good time, but it turns out, smiling and laughing really hard pushes your cheeks up into your sinuses, and they don't feel very good at all. Now my whole face hurts, but at least I'm in good spirits while my eyes throb.
Cleaned out my whole desk.. nothing left but a binder and 2 portfolios for Neil on Thursday. I'm pretty thrilled about it cuz the whole thing fit in one small crate. I never have this little stuff to take home. It's pretty fantastic. Hopefully I won't have the most uncomfortable ride home ever again like last spring.
In other news, I'm almost out of tissues. Again. 3 boxes, going on 4, in 48 hours, is just no good.
