^^; I did my location sketches in my Bible study note book this year. Timothy got the 90's fringe and some badly drawn hands.. The band from the first night are
A Kiss Goodbye - doing some sort of acoustic set. I didn't go see them in the after hours session. - we'd only just got there.
why yes, yes I do have a character model for st. Paul - he is all over my note books because people like to study his letters a lot
I was going for some kind of Alexander Rodchenko reference in my notes. I can't remember why though. it was hard to draw from memory, I couldn't remember what the woman had on her hair. - I think I might have to do a Cat/Mouse/Bunny reference for my blog header. secretly I'm a photomontage geek.
This is
Empire Nation doing something acoustic in the main meeting. I couldn't see a band member on the right well enough to draw them because the guy on the end was in a semi circle and covering him from my angle. and the start of my notes. I actually was considering seeing empire nation in after hours, but I was trying my best not to get too tired so didn't bother.
These are all of
Phatfish - the only band I saw in after hours this year. My sister was looking forward to seeing this band a lot, I'd not really heard them before. It was good. the singer has a beautiful voice.
The last adventure while I was away was seeing
Rob Bell touring with his new book. I dunno if you've heard about this ... but its been upsetting people in America and people are trying to get it banned and stuff. It was interesting. I've heard Rob Bell speak before, so I was expecting him to be presenting the ideas from the book almost word for word out the book, but he actually talked a lot less and it was mostly Q and A. which was probably the most interesting way to do it, but I've not actually had time to read the book so I can't really tell you my opinions on the situation. its definitely an interesting topic and something thats come up in other things while at uni. sorry the doodles not too great, we were actually 3 rows from the front, so we were close enough for a larger doodle .. .but I barely had the energy to write notes let alone draw. I think we were catching the heat of the stage lights.
You'll be pleased to know thats my last catch up post for the day (unless something I want to report on today happens. XD)
