Paris based trio Anoraak have released a new video for their as yet unreleased song "Made Up" from their upcoming as yet still unnamed debut album, which I think perfectly captures that feeling of going into the city late at night to see a live show. They're actually coming to Seattle soon, and I kinda hope I make it out to see them.

One of my favorite new discoveries lately is Noir Cœur, a surf rock/synth pop duo from France who make dreamy, fuzzed-out music for the beach. Sébastien Tellier teaches a masters class on how one rocks out a live TV appearance when he appeared here on Grand Journal. Is this not the most badass live performance you've ever seen someone do on broadcast television? God, I wish more artists rocked this hard. "Empire" is some pretty epic French dream pop with an African vibe to it. Other than that, I don't really know much about this French duo. Luckily this song is memorable enough to keep me entertained and intrigued until they put out something new.

Yelle is absolutely one of my all-time favorite performers.
