Movieworld
On Thursday starfirephoenix (Alison), Master Skywalker (Dave), Draven (David) and I spent the day at Movieworld. We hired a car which turned out to be the cheapest option and drove ourselves. Had breakfast at the Maccas (Yay for bacon and egg mcmuffins!) across the highway from Movieworld before going in.
Non-holiday weekdays are definitely the best times to go as it really wasn't busy at all. Shortly after we got in I spotted Batman and we all made a beeline for him. Alison and I got our pictures taken with him and we both got a little *squee*-y because it was Batman and he had such a deep sexy voice!
Saw one of the final performances of the Police Academy Stunt Show. It was quite entertaining... but I'm worried because at some point after the movies Proctor had a sex-change! Oh and everyone was putting on really bad and annoying American accents, which was off-putting.
I got to go on all the scary rides! David doesn't like roller-coasters and usually refuses to go on them. Alison doesn't like them either, but Dave does! We tricked conviced David and Alison to go on the Scooby-doo Scary Coaster and the Wild West Adventure Ride. Alison was also brave enough to go on the Lethal Weapon ride and was nearly going to go on the Superman Escape ride before she heard that it had been having problems all day. Dave and I went on the Superman Escape roller-coaster and the Batwing Spaceshot and we enjoyed every second of them! Superman escape went really, really fast! LOL! It was awesome!
We walked around a lot, took lots of photos, bought lots of souvenirs and watched the parade where we got to wave at all the characters! Then we drove back to the Manor, exhausted.
