33. Orwig, Sara Finnegan's Hideaway

Heroine - Lucy Finnegan; she runs a nut shop. Hero - Finn Mundy. He's indecisive and his mom sends his brothers to live with him (with a plan to find him a wife). They move 'Dimples' in to Finn's apartment. Confusion ensues. It's all sorted out. (4/6)
34. Mittermeyer, Helen Vortex
Loveswept #67, 180 pages, not keeping
I really don't like HM's overbearing heroes. Reesa vanished into the raging waters of the Caribbean and lost her memory. Dake eventually finds her. Aside from the always great sex, no wonder she broke up with him. (2/6)
35. Fluke, Joanne Lemon Meringue Pie Murder
PB mystery, 297 pages (& recipes that I didn't read), returning to a friend
Another sugar-filled murder mystery starring Hannah Swensen. Drugstore clerk Rhonda is found dead in the house Norman has just bought in order to knock down and build the dream home he and Hannah designed (in a book I haven't read). Hannah is quite surprised as they aren't engaged and there's still Mike.... (4/6)
36. Carlisle, Katie Homicide in Hardcover
PB mystery, 289 pages, not keeping
First in the 'bibliophile' series - Brooklyn Wainwright restores old books. Her mentor is murdered, telling Brooklyn with his dying breath to 'Remember the devil'. She's suspected of his murder, and must speedily unravel the clues. (4/6)
37. Glazer, Melissa A Murderous Glaze
PB mystery, 213 pages, not keeping
First in the 'Clay and Crime' mystery series, with Carolyn Emerson, owner of a paint-your-own-pottery studio 'Fire at Will', as the crime solver. The 'Firing Squad' a group of amateur potters and painters, meet at her studio and investigate Betty Wickline's murder - stabbed with Carolyn's own awl. She's the number one suspect, and the plot sounds suspiciously like the previous book! (3/6)
38. Vincent, Bruno Five Forget Mother's Day
HB, humor, 87 pages (& illustrations), keeping!
My least favourite in the series so far, as I didn't love the way Aunt Fanny was portrayed. (3.5/6)
39. Farley, Linda The Midwife's Here!
PB, non-fiction, 307 pages, returning to a friend
Love, love, loved this one! Linda Fairley is one of Britain's longest serving midwives and this is her story, from her first student days through to the changes from mostly home deliveries to hospital deliveries. 40 years and over 2000 babies. (6/6)
