It's been an interesting couple of weeks. Boyfriend has been gone...working the weekends, out of town. I stayed at Kelly's last week because my great-grandma, whose heart is failing, was staying at our house. We have a four bedroom + garage apartment home. Mom and Dad = bdrm 1. Callie = bdrm 2. Brady = bdrm 3. Amanda = bdrm 4. Emily = garage apt. So Gran was assigned Brady's room, because it's the easiest to maneuver. So that puts Brady on the sofa. And that's not fair, so I gave him my room for the week.
I tyied to bribe him with my Wii, but he wanted to play it while I was at work, so I had to break the bribe and hide the Wiimotes when I leave every day. Sad, right? I'm really feeling some Super Paper Mario right now. I might have to indulge that desire.
I stayed at Brooke's last night. We did the hot tub thing, and enjoyed frozen adult beverages while doing so. Then I fell asleep on the floor. We woke up to the always-early-riser Carter this morning at 7 am. That was lovely. After a biscuits and gravy breakfast, I went to church with the Woodwards.
This might not seem like a big deal to anyone else, but until this weekend, I hadn't beento a church service of any kind in YEARS. On Saturday, I went to St. Mary's in G-burg for my G-burg friend Bobbi's daughters' baptism. Catholocism is outside my realm of understanding. I'm not being critical...I'm simply saying that I don't understand it.
Today, with Brooke, we didn't actually attend the church service. She's been working in the special needs room this month, so I went with her to help. It was really neat...I met some great kids.
So I was inside of two different churches this weekend and I didn't burst into flames either time. That's good.
Then I came home and began the laundry process. Kelly met me herearound 5 pm. I was telling her about my churchy weekend when my 14 year old brother decided to make a "whore in church" joke. He's ridiculously inappropriate, but I couldn't keep from laughing my ass off. He really is one of the funniest people I know.
Oh, shit. Brooke just called to tell me that her little sister was in a car accident. She's okay, but she really messed her car up. It's ironic because earlier today, she was driving her mom's vehicle after church and her mom said, "I'm not too impressed by your driving skills." I'm just glad she's okay.
Back to the day's events: I then went to Kelly's mom's house for family dinner. That was fun...it was good to have someone else feed me dinner, too! : )
Came back home and worked on some more laundry. Unpacked a box from the Muncie house of kithen stuff that I didn't need while I was here. Ran all of the dishes through the dishwasher. I'm waiting for those to dry until I bring another box out. I've gone through 3 or 4 loads of laundry...it seems to be taking forever.
My room is slowly emptying out. When I took the first couple of carloads of boxes to the apartment, I didn't feel like my room was emptying out at all. I think it helps that I'm getting all of the laundry off the floor. That was taking up a ton of space.
I can't wait to have my first party at the new house. I'm not sure if anyone will come or not. I'm also excited about waking up at 8 am after I move and being able to make it to work by 9. Now I wake up at 7 am. A whole hour of sleep!
I'm thinking about getting a second job. I don't know if I've mentioned that before or not. I don't really need to get a second job. I just think it would be better if I had something to do at night. I'm thinking I'll be living at the YMCA! Nothing like making the gym more convenient. : ) Thanks gym, now I won't have an excuse!
Emily got a new boyfriend. He's leaving Indy to go back to Purdue in a couple of weeks. I think she's bummed.
Shit. Gotta run.
