WOOHOO! I'm an auntie!
Jo was born at 9:15 Saturday morning. She's easily the most beautiful, quiet baby I've ever seen. She has blue eyes like her mom, (for now), and her dad's flat nose. She is, beyond a doubt, flawless.
We went to see Mike and Niki at the hospital; Nik was extremely drugged, not feeling good, but was very happy to see us all. There were annoying nurses everywhere that she looked like she was about to slap. (I kinda hoped she would have, heh.)
I still don't want kids, but I'm so happy for the new parents. I know they'll be great folks, and I can't wait to spoil my new niece silly and teach her to swear and belch.
And yesterday, I got my tattoo done, FINALLY! I will post pics as soon as it fully heals, but it is absolutely beautiful and everything I wanted. It's on my upper right arm, my wings and halo design that I drew in memory of my father, James. The wings and feathers are for him, the halo for Kurt, whose nickname is actually Halo, because he flatlined once in surgery as a little kid. Kurt got inked, too, with "ports" put on the back of his neck for his lifelong love of all things robotic. I'm sorry, but it's HAWT. He looks so goddamned good in them, I'll have to post his pics, too. He made weird faces and held my hand the whole time. So we're now "ink bonded," and sore as all hell.
Pics to come of new niece and tats as soon as our stupid camera batteries charge... Oh, and moving... We're moving on Wednesday! AAAK!
