My boss, who is a fairly intelligent and semi-geeky type person, asked me today what "lol" meant. He thought it was an insult.
*facepalm*
So, after being re-educated on the correct meaning of "lol" he walked around the office all afternoon saying "lawl" instead of laughing.
The receptionist was about ready to stab him with scissors. Problem is, he might have liked that.
