[It's taken Elizabeth a couple of tries to understand how this thing works. Hitting buttons as per the instructions she'd been given. It's a bit of a jumble for a second, and you can hear her frustrated mutter. Till she sits back, setting the device on table. She holds herself in her refinement as if it were nothing, like it was normal for a woman to be dripping with so much jewellery, so much silk. To have it sewn into her very clothes, hanging from her neck -- and really the headdress she's wearing should weigh a great deal, gold often does. sat on her red hair that is all set perfectly. But she doesn't look remotely bothered by it, nor her heavy skirts and corset, that unsurprisingly all matches in the same black and gold.
She does look tired though, weary of this all, and when she speaks, she may of been addressing her counsellors for her tone - straight forward and clipped.]
I'd accuse one of my advisors of tricking me, and that this is all some terrible idea of a coronation present, but that would be crediting them with an imagination, but only they would have a sense of humour so twisted as to tell me I have even more work to do. [her laughter is brittle, short and she tilts her head back with it, and she seems to glitter in the sunlight that's coming in the windows behind her] You must forgive me if this is rude to address you all so informally, but I can at least manage a fitting introduction on my own behalf.
My greetings to you all, Lords and Ladies and I suppose, now fellow citizens of this city. I am... well in the long of it, [because he advisors really would never forgive her for not at least trying, and there is the chance someone might recognise her. So she bows her head in a stately manor] Elizabeth Tudor, Queen of England, Ireland and France, Defender of the Faith, second daughter of the previous King, Henry Tudor... or I was. It seems here, I am once again, Elizabeth. [she's clearly amused by this idea. Turning her head away for a moment, raising a hand to cover her smile. She takes a little bit more time before she speaks again, tapping a finger against her lips, and there's a heavy ring on her finger, it doesn't seem to match though, and it's the only one she's wearing.]
You would have my thanks... well I suppose that is it, given I have no titles and land to reward with, but you'll have it all the same. Any information as to how I could be of better service, after all -- that is what I do best. [her private joke at the very least, she turns serious again after a moment.] Because if my people are in danger, as I was told, then I must know what exactly from. To start with at least, and then what exactly is to be done about it. I trust there is a very good reason I have been ripped so from my duty.
[it shuts off.]
