This week has flown by, I can't believe we're already into the second week of May. My birthday is in 14 days. For some reason turning 23 is really scaring me, I don't know what it is but it's been bothering me that I'm turning 23.
I'm still unemployed but the assistant GM hasn't had a chance to talk to the GM of the team about new positions for the offseason and fall because the team is still playing. A lot of the hockey club staff went up to the game last night including myself. I don't generally do game sevens (too much pressure, too many nerves) but I was 3-0 this series so I was threatened by the PR Director/Broadcaster and even the freaking coach of the team that if I didn't drive up to see them play and they lost I'd be without a job, I only think they were half kidding. So we ended up winning in some pretty dramatic fashion, scoring to take a 3-2 lead with 18 seconds left, pretty sweet to be there. I thought I might not make it out of the arena alive though.
My Jeep is due to be turned in in less than 20 days and I have yet to test drive any potential replacements, starting to get a little anxious about that. But, I know that I want another Jeep and there are only three Jeeps that are in my price range, the Liberty (again), Compass or the Patriot. The other dilemma is that it's due back on a Sunday over Memorial Day weekend, I might be going home that weekend for my birthday...so do I turn the car in here or drive home and have my parents help me with the leasing process with the new car?
I had this odd feeling for awhile that someone was just playing some big joke on the JC fandom by adding JC's name to the list of actors on the Dead of Winter movie. But now that I've seen him listed on Variety.com as one of the actors it seems pretty definite. It's kind of odd to think about, JC in a movie. I have some obvious requests of what I'd like to see:
1) JC not killed in the first five minutes of the movie, don't make him the Drew Barrymore please.
2) JC in various states of undress, maybe a love scene...hey thrillers and scary movies often have love scenes.
3) He has more than one line in the damn movie, don't get me excited about this to see him in the background for 2 hours (unless he's shirtless for those two hours).
4) No torture scenes, if there's anything I can't stomach it's torture scenes in a scary movie...JC being tortured, couldn't watch it.
5) If this thing goes straight to DVD make it snappy, I don't want to have to wait a long time for this thing, the JC fandom waits enough as it is, give us a break.
Oh, oh, oh...Friday Night Lights potential renewal will be announced on Monday *crosses fingers* also saw some considerations for Emmy noms and I definitely saw Kyle Chandler, Connie and FNL in there.
