The Fandom Alphabet: F is for What's The Longest You've Ever Been in a Fandom?
F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it?
Wow…that’s a hard one?? I guess it’s asking about actively being in a fandom.
I never actually pay attention to how long I’m in fandoms, tbh. I suppose Detective Conan was one of my super long running fandoms, where I was active in it for the longest time. I know I was in the Harry Potter fandom for a super long time too. There’s also the FF7 fandom, where I’m still working on Counter Crisis with Koorii. That’s been going on for years now. You can’t forget Homestuck of course! Did quite a bit in that fandom before burnout. I go back to fandoms too; dipped into the Danny Phantom fandom, and I still actively check the tags and dream up new fic ideas for it.
Still, if you mean actively contributing to a fandom, Detective Conan was probably my longest, most active time. Homestuck comes a close second for activity, but less time I think. FF7 is probably more for time, but less for activity. If something good comes along for any fandom I’ve been in, I don’t think I ever have gone “well I’m not into that any more”, so there you have it.
