Darren Bulmer, aka MancerBear, is proud to present his first exhibition in Sydney as part of the 2009 Mardis Gras festival. MancerBear, original from Melbourne Australia, relocated to Sydney in late 2008, and has steadily been working on a number of new pieces that has shown his development as an artist throughout the years, culminating in his Arrival in the Emerald City.
This exhibition features the images that MancerBear is most well known for - large furry men, mostly naked, and sometimes engaged in homoerotic activities. Often described as having a “raw” and “passionate” quality, MancerBear’s art has been recognized by the Tom of Finland Foundation, has been published in Bear, 100% Beef, German Bear, and EuroBear magazines, as well as several website. Recognized the world over as a leading “bear” artist, MancerBear will be displaying many pieces that are making their debut during this exhibition.
