Spade's going to eventually have to make his peace with Kay, he knows - his own food won't last indefinitely. But in the meantime, he's poking around the library, the kitchen, and sundry places around the mansion to see if he can gather any clues tending toward the plot hole's disappearance and the possibility of it's return

"Sweetheart. Where've you been keeping yourself these days?"

"Oh, I went to Australia. How are you?"

[mancalledspade]

He shrugs. "Running out of good booze, but otherwise alright."

[queen_oracle]

"I could get you some. Duty-free." She tilts her head and grins at him a little.

[mancalledspade]

"You'd be an angel. Not that you aren't one already."

[queen_oracle]

"What do you want? I've been wanting to travel again anyway. Would you like to come?"

[mancalledspade]

He smiles. "Love to. But if you go without me, bourbon and cigarettes would be heaven."

[queen_oracle]

"I'll make sure you get some." Smiiiile.

[mancalledspade]

"You're too good to me."

[queen_oracle]

"I like you. I try to be nice to people I like."

[mancalledspade]

"Well. Anything I can do for you, to keep the friendship from going too lopsided?"

[queen_oracle]

Big grin. "Practise lines with me."

[mancalledspade]

He actually grins back. "You're in that play? Well, now I'll have to go see it. And sure, I can help you practice."

[queen_oracle]

"Yes! I wanted something to do. And you'd better. And bring me a bouquet."

[mancalledspade]

"Noted. Big fat roses, I presume."
