Spade's going to eventually have to make his peace with Kay, he knows - his own food won't last indefinitely. But in the meantime, he's poking around the library, the kitchen, and sundry places around the mansion to see if he can gather any clues tending toward the plot hole's disappearance and the possibility of it's return

Sam will come across Anita in kitty form, well, you know, big kitty, lying inconspicuously under a cupboard, in one of the hallways of the Mansion.

She's been keeping watch in front of Henry's door - and getting remarkably bored.

"Spade!" Very quietly, from her hide-out.

He raises his eyebrows. "...hey kid." He leans down. "Comfy?"

A little purr. "Yeah." A paranoid look around. "Whatever you do, don't say my name, alright?"

Very quietly, again.

"Can do. You need me to let your stakeout alone?"

[tomboy_22]

"Actually, you can help." A pause. "Could use the distraction." She starts to stalk to the nearby windowsill so he'll have a place to sit. "Just, whatever. Pretend to pet me, or something." Pause. "If you want."

He snorts, with a small grin, but comes over and gamely strokes her fur. "Anyone that knows me ain't gonna much buy this, you realize."

"Do you know Mina Harker?" Because she's really the one person she's worried about.

Hmm. That's nice. Maybe a bit more to the left..... and she purrs.

He thinks. "Mighta met her once, but I don't think so."

"Alright. As long as she buys it - that's what really matters." Leopard!Anita puts her head on Sam's lap like a big kitty does - or like a big dog.

"Can I ask why it's so important Miss Harker believes I've a fondness for large furry animals?"

[tomboy_22]

"Don't you at least for one?" Cheekily. "Because Miss Harker is expecting me do have done something that I couldn't do. And I haven't figured out how to deal with her yet."

He sighs. "Well now you're not going to get off the hook until I know."

Grumble.

"I told her I'd kill some when I was pissed off at said someone. Can't kill the someone, but she expects me to."

"You take any money for the killing?"

[tomboy_22]

A grunt. "I'm not in that line of business, Spade. No. Guy happens to be a rogue vamp - just my type of usual back home. I got pissed because he assaulted her."
