"This is Your Mission, Should You Choose To Accept It..."

so... first post in fourteen days, how should i begin?

well, here we go.

My parents are back from Alaska. I will post pics later regarding their beautiful, awesome trip. So many things happened to my sister and I this week it was funny. I got sick, my sister sprained her ankle, Mrs. Dina Hodgins (first people i was to stay with) got a collapsed lung, and i had a birthday. whew!

My birthday was RoCkIn. Fourteen whoop! And i got that prized thing (which btw i had to pay for part of)... a CELL PHONE. hooray for me. And i had a surprise laserquest birthday party... muchos rocking. Except we played with a whole bunch of little kids who cussed at us... i mean kids around the age of 6 or 7. ouch.

Let's see, most of my activity was at the famed Zachary Horst's house. This past Friday night there was a delectable dinner at Willie's and then to Barnes and Noble where I got a lyrics book with an awesome design. I will write all of my lyrics in it of course. Saturday was nothing short of awesome, the Horsts got a dog and I got to be a part of that. His name is Barkley, he is spotted gray, brown, and black, and he has one brown eye and one blue. Disco eyes, as I call them. Then Saturday night... game nizzight. what do you get when you put allison short, taylor concialdi, zach horst, riley sheehan and candace ward? (and molly roberts who was invited but could not make it) GAME NIGHT. let's see, scrabble, taboo, etc. we played board games from 6-8:30 then went to Piccomolo's and surprised miss Farley with our great big smiles and empty stomachs. We enjoyed some of that delish Italian ice cream and snapping at Megan, for, ladies and gentlemen for the first time, she was serving us. and for some odd reason i found that totally cool. all of the people looked at me weird because *tee hee* when i ordered i snapped at megan and made fake complaints at the ice cream. acting like a perfect brat (grins) :0] and it was all good. Then we left very cool-like and went home. The next day was a rocking 249 service with worship songs that got me close to God for intimate worship and there's nothing cooler than that. Not even Megan Farley, new dogs, or five kids playing old school games. Then U249 with the way awesome Cynthia Garcia. Who enjoys teaching and knows her teaching also. Then back to school Monday to come home to... parents!

Anywho, I have been thinking about the hurricane that has set its course in our general direction, and about Katrina, and I think: Isn't it sad that all the hundreds of thousands even millions of people who are in pain, suffering, and devastation right now have exactly what they need waiting for them when they will except it? And it makes me ache to think that the only thing they need is God and if they only believed, their eternal life would be sealed in heaven. That one decision offered freely by God.

I know I've used this verse before, and I'll use it again. I'll study it, also.
For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. (1 John 5.4)

For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world.
If only.

(speaks in a deep, gravelly voice with fake static)
This is your mission, should you choose to accept it.

Will we?
anytime, anywhere, always thinking (of course),
