TV Recap: No more merciless than you've shown you can be.
V (s02e09): Mother's Day
**** V is such B-grade sci-fi tv, but man if
the show didn't just rock their season
series?) finale tonight. I just wish they had spread it
throughout the season and made every episode as awesome as this one.
Especially when it most likely won't be back for a third season.
On the season finale of V, Erica and Diana enlist Lisa to
stage a coup against Anna and remove her from power before humanity is
destroyed. Anna is focused on having Lisa breed with Tyler to ensure
the evolution of the Visitors.

Erica: What if you're wrong. She is merciless.
Lisa: No more merciless that you've shown you can be.
I'm fascinated by the comparison between Anna doing whatever it takes
to allow her people to survive and Erica now doing the same against
Anna. Is there really a difference and which one is more right? Fringe
has toyed with this idea this season, and done it better too, with us
vs the other side. I wish V had made it more of an
undercurrent of this season.
Anna: Now that's how you kill your mother.
I so knew Lisa wouldn't be able to kill her mother. Just shows how
desperate she was for her mother's love and that Erica was only
substitute for the real thing. And now Anna knows how to use human emotion to her advantage.
Anna: I wasn't lying when I said not all human emotion is
bad. Enjoy the show.
Erica told Tyler everything, Anna killed her mother Diana, Kyle
disappeared, Ryan is suffocated by his daughter, Lisa's been replaced
by her new alien clone and has been locked away, the new Lisa mated
with Tyler and then killed him, Erica joined Project Aries an
underground movement against the Vs, Chad was taken into custody by
Anna, and Jack and the world were blissed by Ryan's daughter. Can
things suck any worse? And why V, why must you save all the
good stuff for the end of your last episode? This completely changes
everything, and I want to know where it all goes from here. Now, I'm
sure we'll never even know what would have been. Maybe ABC will bring
it back for another short season?
