New T.V.
As some would know by now, Other Guy went all stroppy last week when FHG #2 brought Dawg home, and he has since taken his T.V. to his Room to watch it there....
Doesn't take much to see that those two events are connected, although granted, he's been making comments along those lines on-and-off since he came back from Egypt in Late March when he saw me watching a D.V.D. and made the comment about charging me Rent for doing so, and may well have used the incident with Dawg merely as an excuse to finally do so
FHG #2 apparantly came to my defence in that regard, because she told me that she said to Rent Guy, "At the end of the day, he pays Rent here, so he should be allowed to watch the T.V. when he likes as well"
That said, I've learned not to entirely believe everything that FHG #2 says....to the point that she's almost like FHG #1 in that regard
For example....just over the weekend, she was complaining to Rent Guy that "All your house-mates hate me"
Well, there's just Rent Guy, Other Guy, and me, so obvioulsy she was lumping me in with that comment as well
When I called her on it the next day, she tried to act as though nothing happened :-/
So yeah, I'm not exactly taking things aat face value in that regard
Anyway....
On Saturday, she said that Rent Guy was going to get a new T.V.....I got a couple of Catalogues on Friday for that purpose and the two of them were looking at them on Friday night
Didn't get the T.V. then, but picked it up yesterday :-)
Bigger than the one Other Guy has, and thus, it doesn't fit on the same shelf that his was on, so this one has to go on the top of the three-shelf unit
Still fully watchable, though :-)
Prior to him going out to collect it, though, FHG #2 said to me that he actually bought it some six months earlier, but because Other Guy's T.V. was in that spot, he would have had no-where to put it....makes me wonder why they seemed so interested in looking at those Catalogues on Friday
Also, the ones in the Catalogues started at $150 (Mother's Day Sale, and it had a built-in Blue-Ray D.V.D. Player), which Rent Guy said was "Too small", whereas the one he picked up yesterday, which he supposedly bought some six months ago, was $500 (and didn't have a D.V.D. Player built-in)!!
I mentioned to FHG #2 that if he knew that he was going to be getting a new T.V. last year anyway, and if he planned it properly, he could have made use of the Father's Day Sales a couple of months earlier, or even the Pre-Christmas Sales, but, evidently....either that kind of thing didn't occur to him, or there just wasn't a suitable Sale at the time
No matter :-)
Good thing, too, as I had been getting a couple of D.V.D.s via E-Bay recently, and it would be nice to be able to actually watch them :-)
In other news....
Dog and Dawg seem to be getting along more-or-less okay....
Dog seems to be jealous of Dawg, though....
Dog wasn't exactly getting a lot of attention around here to start with, and now that Dawg is here, he probably thinks he'll be getting even less attention, so, whenever any of us go outside, he seems to be attacking Dawg to make sure that *he* gets the attention instead of her :-(
I'm sure they'll settle it out between themselves eventually....at least Dog doesn't seem to be barking so much now that he has some kind of company :-)
