Last weekend, we had a blast! Friday was my birthday and after lunch with Rachel, I met up with my old college classmates! It was good to see everyone and see how many of their lives have progressed in the year since we all graduated together! Friday night, Patrick went out to play Magic and do his thing. Megan came over and we had a double feature movie night! We watched two great movies: Adam and Remember Me! Adam was really good. It had an unconventionally happy ending. The boy doesn't get the girl, and in fact, moves across the country from her...but he has Asperger's, and learns how to live a life of his own, which I think is the real story anyway. The girl helps him realize the things that he can do on his own...that he can live a pretty "normal" life and have friends and happiness. Remember Me was great, depressing, and tragic.
Saturday, we had tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at the Fox Theatre with Megan and Wes. We met up at Mom's house to drop Cullen off for an afternoon of fun with Patty Poo and Pop! Phantom was amazing! I get so emotional when I see live performances. I was crying for the entire first Act, again at the final scene, and even cried through the curtain call! It's such a great story! Afterwards, our foursome headed to Chow Baby! for dinner. Patrick and I had never been and it did not disappoint! We headed back to my parents' house after that to pick up our happy baby boy!
Sunday was a lazy day at home! Patrick left for the day and Cullen and I stayed in our pj's all day. Finally, Patrick headed back this way and we met him, Wes, and Megan for dinner! All in all, it was a great weekend.
Monday I got a lead on an opening at the local elementary school. I put in my application and reached out to a few resources. I went to the school to drop off my resume and got a call back just a couple of hours later. I have an interview Friday and I feel in my gut that this is the ONE. I have been praying so hard for this! I feel like everything that I HAVEN'T gotten has happened so that I could get this one!
The rest of the week is proving VERY busy for the Bells! Tonight I'm meeting Kelly for dinner and going to pick up the rest of the supplies for Cullen's party! Tomorrow we have Cullen's pictures in Macon, Thursday Patrick has a meeting at the Department of Labor (hopefully he'll get a lead on a job), Friday is my interview, and then the weekend is filled with a birthday party and a shopping excursion to pick up the supplies for another party I'm helping to throw! (I'm sure I'll end up getting something else for Cullen's big day, too)! I can't believe that my (not so) tiny baby will turn ONE next week! This year has flown by!
Everyone keep all appendages crossed for me on Friday!
