I'll be perfectly frank here. I have never owned one. Mainly because they are overpriced (IMO), and to me, they just seem unnecessary. Don't get me wrong, I do understand the idea of safety for babies and tots. I am not trying to bash those who are using them, or believe in them for whatever the reason may be. Hungry for Change notes

• we live in a world of abundance but have an attitude of lack
• diets don't work as they are only temporary and we just set ourselves up for failure; 90-95% add more weight back after the diet is over
• we consume 150 lbs of sugar/sweeteners per year = 22 tsp/day

Just a warning, once you begin baby wearing, you will be hooked, and will want to have ALL of the carriers.
