crash
some drunk woman in a bmw crashed into the back of a line of 3 parked cars opposite our house sometime after midnight this morning. mine was the middle one. she moved the people carrier behind me about 20 feet and onto the pavement (via my car), got out and tried to get in a taxi, passing the people carriers owner a business card and saying she'd sort it out in the morning!!! my car hit the one in front - daisy-chain insurance nightmare anyone?!
we knew nothing til the police banging on the door managed to wake eblue, but the owner of the people carrier said that the driver was not only drunk, but admitted being on the phone at the time! she handed the phone to him and he spoke to her boyfriend (who owns the bmw) and the boyfriend told him to put her in a taxi and send her home with a "tut, women!" comment!!! i'd love to see the look on his face when he sees his car cos she's obviously only made out she's clipped some wing mirrors or something...
anyway, today will be spent waiting for the police. they told us there was nothing we could do last night and the driver had been arrested and taken to the station for breathalising.
