My son is officially weaned for a week. He is pretty much sleeping through the night as well! He is all grown up in the space of a week or two. Wow. I wonder if the weaning is connected to his sleeping through the night. (He occasionally will wimper a little bit at around 10ish, but then goes back to sleep as soon as we say "Shhh" and then sleeps through till morning.)
We're considering moving him into his own room once he sleeps through the night for a week or two. He's going to sleep without us in the room, he wakes up maybe once, before we are in the room for the night; i don't see why it might be a problem for him to be in his own room now- i suspect he will sleep through the night.
Though i will say there is a likelihood that my mornings will start earlier, as my husband and i have noticed that our son wakes before us and plays quietly in his crib until he sees us wake up; it is possible that if he doesnt see us sleeping because he is in the other room, that he wont play quietly on his own. But i think its worth the risk though.
