We're back safe and sound, the van is unloaded, and the cats have shown their disdain at the return of the dog. We tried to go see the Midnight Circus at Daley Plaza, but only got there for the last 30 seconds of the finale. Still, we had a nice outing in the brisk autumn air. A few weeks ago, I read about a local historical group resurrecting a turn-of-the-century Kansas City tradition, the Priests of Pallas Ball. It sounded like fun, but the tickets were $85 a pop... so I called and asked if they needed any volunteers. I wound up helping at the ticket booth, and needed a mask for the event. Had a totally unexpected migraine today... hit hard this afternoon, took me out for a few hours. Haven't had one this bad in a long time, and usually I get some kind of warning. The guy who threatened Julia cannot come back onto campus without going through a series of meetings with the administration... he hasn't shown up at all. Nobody seems very surprised.
