So much has been going on that being pregnant has taken a serious back seat. First off, my husband goes and gets sick. Men. I think he's just jealous I'm getting all the attention :). He appears to have gallstones in his gallbladder and has been having chronic pain/issues for weeks now, including a week-long hospital stay. Wheee.
In far more entertaining news, I'm off to Vegas on Friday to play! Hee! Going for a stagette, then immediately home to Calgary for a visit and Steve's Dad's memorial service.
In baby news...I'll be 22 weeks on Saturday.
Spawn now weighs a whooping 11 ounces and measures 7.6 inches which is the size of a big banana, or a big manhood! It is growing eyebrows and eyelashes and this development will be it's key method of communicating happiness, frustration, confusion and interest until the talking begins. That's a lot of communicating for some eyelashes and eyebrows batman!
Apparently I'm suppose to feel tired, hungry and uncomfortable. To be honest, I feel fantastic, and sometimes I force myself to eat an apple or something even if I'm not hungry because I worry I'm not eating ENOUGH. I do get super sore feet (that extra weight, I suspect) and it can be annoying to sit down because of where the uterus is, but overall, I'm peachy-keen at the moment. I'm saving up for the ultimate in complaining later on :).
I go for a second ultrasound (in Calgary) on May 23rd to determine the sex of the spawn. Soon spawn will have a name and won't just be "spawn". Which is a tad sad, I've gotten attached to saying spawn.
