He's a gentle giant.
This morning my cat Lucky, who I've posted here many times, got into his first cat fight. Which wouldn't be newsworthy except for this one piece of information.
He's 11 years old.
He's obviously more of a lover than a fighter.
From the looks of it, the other cat was messing around in the vegetable patch and Lucky didn't appreciate that, so they sat down and discussed it. Seriously, they had a face to face powwow. And then things erupted and before you could say "Woah Lucky" he was chasing the other cat away and paws were flying. For a tabby with no claws he did pretty well I say. The other cat fled and Lucky took about five minutes to calm down sufficiently for me to approach him without being hissed at.
You know how most big dogs are not interested in signs of aggression with other smaller dogs, I think Lucky is like that. There have been many times when he is sitting out on the back patio and stray cats come and sit with him and he's never fought with them. Perhaps its because he's neutered, I don't know.
